Aonther Fire In Yosemite

Once again Hwy 120 into Yosemite Valley is closed at Crane Flat due to fire. The fire has blown up to over 2600 acres with no containment in sight. 140 and 41 are still open. The Tioga Pass rd is open, but to get to the Valley you must add a few miles to your trip. Hopefully this will not turn into another Rim Fire.

    Well, now Highway 120 over Tioga pass is closed. You can still reach Tuolumne Meadows via the pass from Hwy 395, you just can't come down the western slope of the Sierra's. The fire is up to 3500 acres with about 34% containment. They have 8 air tankers and a DC 10 working the fire line and should have is under control this week.

    I agree, I hope that the firefighters get a break and maybe have some rain help out.
