I checked the GaDOT site as well. It is not clear at all. So I submitted and inquiry as well. Their response was still not as clear as I would like but states below that the intent of the HOV lane is for commuter mass transit purposes. Although I'd like to tough to justify that a MH is mass transit.
"The HOV system is designated for carpools, vanpools, and transit buses. Any vehicles over 6 wheels is not recommended unless a transit bus."So we plan to travel off peak hours, take our time and stay out of the HOV lane. I would not want to discuss this topic with APD as I am sure I would lose.
