Our first league of the trip is to Little Rock, Arkansas. Is it better to stay on interstate 40 or look at Hwy 70 through Memphis? Then to Amarillo and on to Flagstaff.

Stay on I-40 through Memphis. Made this trip twice in the past couple of months.
Just west of Mamphis, might drop down to US-70 for ten or fifteen mils to avoid construction and delays. There are warning signs that delays may occur. US-70 parallels I-40. I had very little delay both east-and west-bound in April, had no problem east-bound in early June, but a bit of a delay west-bound on my return trip. It was a bit frustrating to sit there in on aI-40 and watch the traffic whizzing along on nearby US-70 about 1/4 of a mile south of me...
