Baja California to Mazatlan
Thinking of taking a motorcycle down the Baja and ferry across to Mazatlan. Then maybe back a different way. Any suggestions?

In Sonora all of the roads are in bad shape. 15 to HMO is mostly OK. The problem is all the rain. With heat the asphalt cracks. Water enters the cracks and lo and behold becomes a pothole. Because there is little or very poor maintenance that pothole grows. The mine road had potholes that were about 3 ft. by 3 ft.. HMO has streets that are not passable. Again, all the rain is the problem. 15 is mostly toll road. There is no excuse for improper maintenance. One should also consider that many states do not have Government weigh scales. Trucks are loaded according to the amount of space without considering weight.
