Banff & Jasper National Parks
Planning a trip to Banff and Jasper National Parks in the summer of 2017. When is the best time to go? Any RV park suggestions (40 ' MH)? How long in advance of visit do I need to make reservations?

We were there from 8/26-9/7. The first half of the trip (Jasper) the weather was stellar-mostly sunny with a few scattered showers and in the 60s & 70s. The second half (Banff) was cold and wet with snow at the higher elevations. However, with just a few exceptions the crowds weren't too bad. The bull elk were starting the rut so there was a lot of activity. If you plan on going peak season I'd recommend booking as soon as you fir up your dates.
