BC Fires

we got chased out of the thompson/caribou region when the mahood fire was going full tilt.the smoke was unbearable.we drove for 300 km before we could set up camp again.i think it was 3 or 4 years ago.it seems like every summer now we drive through a really big one.

Last summer I was in BC and the smoke was so bad I had to turn around and go home because it was literally making me sick. It's such a tragedy, especially for all the critters who can't get out of the way, not to mention houses burned.

not a repeat,much worse i'm thinking.smoke is really bad right now.

Fire crews are mopping up a fire about 1/2 mile back of our house. Two days ago there was so much smoke the choppers and bombers had a hard time seeing where to drop. There are two more fires north of Nelson CBC news report since I live close to the airport all you hear are retardant Bombers coming back to refuel and refill with retardant.
Smoke today isn't to bad but very hazy and HOT.

No fires close to us but Mount Baker disappeared yesterday. Now the sun is red and visibility is about a mile in smoke. Thank goodness for central AC.

It's so thick this morning, that i have to have all the windows closed! You can see the smoke 1/2 block away. 'bout the same as camping!!
