BC Provincial Campsites - When are they open?

The info on the Provincial Parks website is not always accurate. When we spent Easter at Ralphs River it was closed according the the Parks BC website and another one was supposed to be open, but it was not.

Ok Thanks! Seems most are still closed in the interior of BC.
Looks like they don't open till around may 20.

Many are open year round on Eastern Vancouver Island. Fewer services before May but half rate too.

We did camp at Ralphs River in Strathcona at Easter a few years ago. We have the campground to ourselves. There was still now in some sites, but the outhouses were freshly stocked and we had a great time.

It depends on the individual park. Some are year -round, some are just warm weather season. Unfortunately, you have to do a search for whatever one you're interested in (scroll to the end of the page).

With this wacky weather we're having it's best to call individual campgrounds for the right answer.

A few years ago we read on the Parks website that Purden Lake Prov Park east of Prince George opened May 1, so we arrived on that day, it was closed due to too much snow. We stayed at Tudyah Lake on the way.
