BC to WA With Only Enhanced BC Licence?

Thanks. The latest poster to that thread says they (WA border) only allow the BC enhanced DL starting at 11 am. True?
( It is such a hassle. DW is American (landed immigrant), has BC DL of course, but can't get BC enhanced as not a citizen. So she needs an American passport to enter the US, but not to return to Canada!!! (Has her landed immigrant card), but supposedly, I only need the enhanced BC DL to go both ways---haven't tried it since they started all this. We used to go back and forth all the time to visit her folks)
