- a-d-sExplorerI never ended up going. Our friends bailed out. Would love to hear a report from someone who has been up there recently too.
- chameleon02ExplorerAny update on the conditions of Bear Creek at all this year? I was planning on taking up my young family this weekend and was interested in hearing whether or not this was a rowdy campground at all. Thanks.
- a-d-sExplorerHaven't heard back from the operator yet. We weren't planning on going until late June, but I'll likely just take my boys and a tent to see how it is before risking hauling the trailer up half way and having to turn around. Or getting there and not finding a spot big enough.
Thanks for all the input! - ejfranzExplorerPart of the road to 20 mile is in good shape - at least to the part they are logging.
- ejfranzExplorerThe operator at Bear Creek keeps it quiet. The Road is quit rough - have not been there this year. 20 mile on the other side is a rougher road; will be going on a dual sport ride past it tomorrow. We like to camp at Cascade Peninsula as it is farther off the FSR, but you need a 4X4 to get your trailer out of the site - steep rough road. There is also one more site past Beer Creek, but the camp sites are right on the road.
- GreentreenaExplorerI would personally not haul my trailer on that road as it is quite rough. That area is a huge party spot on weekends and long weekends.
20 mile bay (opposite side) is very nice but also a long haul on a rough road. Never camped there, just drove there to look around. - a-d-sExplorerthanks for the info everyone. I'm going to see if I can get a hold of the park operator and ask.
- BC_ExplorerExplorerSo I posted in a local forum and only received one response. A person took his truck and 16 foot trailer up there very recently and he reported no problem getting around. I'll leave to the OP to decide if he thinks his 24 foot trailer will be ok.
- Z-PellerExplorerYears ago that used to be an out of the way weekend party place for young people to drink & yell......my son used his 4x4 pickup to get there.....I would call Agassiz RCMP and see what they have to say about that aspect nowadays ......
- BC_ExplorerExplorerBear Creek is a small recreation site, the roads are narrow and the campsites are small so I am not sure if taking a 24' trailer in there is doable. I will post on another local forum that I belong to and should be better info there and I will let you know.
