Okay, before we took our Alaska trip, I bought a can of bear spray. Our trip is over, the bear spray never had the cap off. Now what do I do with it?I read one story of someone who left it on the dash of his truck and it exploded, blowing out the windshield, etc. Don't want that to happen.I thought of burying it. . . turning it in at the hazmat station, etc. I really don't need it.Any suggestions?Dale

Why not put it in the house/garage, until the next time you plan on going on a trip.If you don't plan to ever have a need for it, you could probably call your local trash hauler, and ask what they suggest.Personally, I'd just go searching for some bears to pick a fight with:B

Know anyone else heading up there, or folks that hunt? If not go to a place somewhere and discharge it in the openair...if that makes you feel better.

I keep mine just inside the door of the RV....you can carry it into Canada and any campground...if it can stop a 1000 lb bear, it can drop a person high on meth just as fast without killing them....10 times stronger than mace
