US2 has curves and hills, as does any east-west road in northern New England, but they are not sharp switchbacks or crazy steep grades. It's an important trucking route, very much suitable for any sort of vehicle.
In my experience, trying to gauge how twisty a road is based on a normal scale road map is a fool's errand, as the really twisty bits are usually so small that they look like a straight line, while things that look like twists are usually long, gentle curves. A sufficiently large scale map does give a clearer picture, of course.
