It will add about 100 miles to your drive, but you could drive to Montgomery, AL, then north on I-85 to Nashville, TN. then east on I-40 to Cookeville, TN. then south on TN-111 to Sparta.
Maybe if you went through Atlanta at 3AM, traffic might not be so bad, but I wouldn't count on it.
