There were some steep grades that started near Morganton, WV, but doable. Once into MD, it was smoother and faster.
We had our current set-up, F450 & MS. We got to College Park on the 2nd day and set up before dark.
I have frequently gone the 79/68 route but fuel stops seemed at a premium on that stretch and as stated the grades were much worse than 70 all the way.
it is a nice scenic drive however.
