Best route from Lafayette In to AAsheville NC?

Going to see my nephew this summer and wonder what the best route would be from Lafayette In to Asheville NC. Have never done any mountain driving so any advice would be appreciated. 2011 Coachmen Enc...

That is how I would go.
I first used it in Jan.'70 on a military move to Charleston,S.C. from Cal. via home in southern Indiana just east of I-65.
