Gad how time flies...
When dinosaurs roamed the earth on our first trip to the JT, a tiny squirt hauling a giant salad bowl would amble up to the table and push it up.
Now, "Marie" owns the JT. She has striking angular facial features. The family and most of the bar patrons are Basque locals. Basque is the language you may hear spoken.
When I reminded Marie of the ancient days and pleaded with her to never sell out she retorted "Never ever ever will the JT be sold or go out of business. My daughter is following in my footsteps!"
What a pleasant anchor in these uncertain days!
