Best route from north FL to north side of SMNP?

I am looking for advice on the best/safest route from Tallahassee FL to Gatlinburg area. We are staying at Imagination Mountain CG near Cosby, TN in August. I have a lot of experience towing TT all ...

75 to 40..... very little "Mountain" driving. More of a gradual uphill until you realize you are in the mountains.
