The Lewis and Clark Bridge from hwy 30 (just west of Rainier, OR) across the Columbia River is a very high bridge but it's an easy drive. There's almost a bicycle lane besides the two lanes now!!
*** Last November a pair of eagles started building a nest in a tree next to the ramp/bridge. It's a tall tree and as you get almost to where the bridge starts to span the river, you can look to the east and be eye to eye with the nest. They have not hatched yet but that's gonna be next.
Don't even think about stopping on the ramp/bridge to take a long look. Just watch out for the ones that are.
