Best route from VA/TN state line to Myrtle Beach, SC

We're planning a beach trip from Bristol, VA to Myrtle Beach, SC. What is a good route to take? MapQuest shows a couple of options, but I would prefer as few windy mountain roads as possible, and it doesn't tell me which those are.

Suggestions?

    I-81 N then I-77 S to I-74 E toward Winston Salem, continue onto US52 S. I-40 E, US311 toward High Point. From there, any of the US hwys should be ok.
