- 2bzy2cExplorer II395 north to Hwy 120 to Yosemite (about 20 miles north of Mammoth Lakes)
- LwiddisExplorer III would always choose U.S.395 to Lee Vining and then CA120 over the Tioga Pass and into the park. Beautiful lakes, mountains, trees etc.

Driving 36 foot DP with tow. Need the best route from LA to Yosemite. Thanx in advance.
Early May drove I-5 to 99 to 41 to Coarsegold. Some construction north of Bakersfield. Drove 41 to I-5 on return. - Fresno_Tundra_DExplorerIf by “Yosemite” you mean Yosemite valley than your best route would be Crespro’s way. While 395 to 120 is beautiful, going up that way is a steeper grade, especially with your toad, and seems a roundabout way to go if your destination is in fact Yosemite valley.
- mittshelExplorerIMHO Definitely Crespro's way. Betsy.
- jdc1Explorer IINo matter which way you go, you better have reservations. But, I too love going up 395. Time wise? Take the 5 to the 99 to the 41.
