Big Bend Hwy 118 or 385

I go every year at Christmas, usually via 385 but I've done 118 a couple of times. They're pretty much the same except 118 has a pretty steep grade coming out of Alpine.
Both will take you to Panther Junction inside the Park which is about 35 miles from Study Butte and the turnoff on 170 that goes into Terlinqua. The drive between Trelinua and Persido on 170 is a nice scenic trip.
