Big solar flares -- good aurora on Friday night??

I just saw a news bulletin: Solar flare article But the Aurora Forecast site does not say anything about this, so maybe it will not affect the aurora tonight. Not sure what this all means, but ...

I've been watching this event as well, and it does appear puzzling. The Sun has been very active and is still being so, but it looks as though they have not worked out at what speed this is all coming towards us, and this is maybe why there are no predictions shown.
