Big solar flares -- good aurora on Friday night??

I just saw a news bulletin: Solar flare article But the Aurora Forecast site does not say anything about this, so maybe it will not affect the aurora tonight. Not sure what this all means, but ...

The Geophysical Institute forecast is for moderate aurora activity from Saturday through the end of the month. Perhaps the flares were away from earth rather than toward the earth. Aurora Forecast.
