Big solar flares -- good aurora on Friday night??

I just saw a news bulletin: Solar flare article But the Aurora Forecast site does not say anything about this, so maybe it will not affect the aurora tonight. Not sure what this all means, but ...

That sounds like a big hit from an X Flare, as there have been several over the past few days. There may be more today, reaching down into the continental US, hopefully they'll happen in the darkness!
