Biosphere reserve Sierra del Abra?

With Chris’s help I found something about Sierra del Abra but there is very little info. I even tried to map it on S&T but S&T refuses to take the route east of SLP for some reason. Looks like something over 200 miles NE of SMA.

If that is the place I am thinking, Tamuin is a town nearby. We stayed in the plaza with permission of the local police. There is a small tourist office in the same plaza. Nearby are some lesser ruins of a pyramid. There is a guy that will follow you around with a manila envelope in his hand. We thought he was a caretaker. Turns out he is the archeologist who helped discover the place and he gave us an excellent tour of the ruins. This area is rich in sight-seeing. We have boondocked this area a few times.

I do not know and have not been and cannot find Sierra del Abra but here is another place you might like to visit - you can boondock in the parking lot at the reserve. You can find it and plan a route on S&T. Near GPS 19.587856 -100.267874 . We have heard the places in Church book may be closed but there may be a new campground between Ocampo and the reserve.

Also, west of Guanajuato I think called Cristo Rey on Cerro del Cubilete where you can see for miles - the statue can be seen from Guanajuato.
