Black Hills SD in october
Not sure if this is the right forum for this question but, how is the weather for camping/sight seeing in a class A motorhome in mid October?

Should be a great experience! We camped there few years ago last week of Sept...beautiful colors, cool at night and near 70 during day a few times. As mentioned, you might hit a freeze or two or even snow.
Big plus...less crowds; minus...some things are closed but the parks are open.
