Boondocking west of Edmonton Ab

We ended up East of Edmonton at Lougheed trout pond. @ 8 sites, quiet, hand pump so the boys can have waterfights, free fiewood, stocked trout pond, playground& huge sandbox. Boys are exhausted. $10/ night. we've had the campground to ourselves most of the day.

I camped a few nights in the little town of Didsbury. There is an RV park there, but I boondocked not too far from the golf course. I really enjoyed it. :)

We loved Cadomin, too. Several nice government campsites with no hookups. Whitehorse Creek campsite has great walks and a full day hike each way up to the Jasper Park boundary. Unfortunately the Cadomin Caves are closed for bat protection.

Drayton Valley is about an hour and a half west and south of Edmonton (or vice versa). A little further southwest the Brazeau reservoir area has lots of real no-charge boondocking.

Love Cadomin. We'll be heading there at the end of june for a weekend of quading / camping.
just never go there on a long weekend, smh
