Border crossing during Holidays
Anyone know if Mexican border offices maintain regular hours on Christmas and New Years or do they work "holiday" hours?

Depends on the port of entry, in California, at San Ysidro they have reduced gates after a certain hour, instead of 24+ gates they will have 4 or 5 only and depending on the hour at whitch you cross it can be a half hour or 3 and a half hours, big entry ports that are open 24 hours will be open with reduced personel.
