If you have a legitimate reason for bringing permitted firearms into the country and fill out the proper paper work there is no problem. However CBSA takes a very dim view of undeclared weapons unintentional or otherwise. "Oh Gee officer, I plumb fergot about that 38 semi auto in the bedside table" doesn't cut it.
