in all of the published stories, there is absolutely nothing said where that could be "assumed". one scout was apparently getting luggage down from on top of the van as ordered when the agent reportedly pointed his gun. sounds like a GS-9 border agent was acting a few steps above his pay grade.
I hope they release footage of the incident myself.

I wasn't "assuming" anything. Just stating an opinion, in general, about LEO safety, and not necessarily this situation. As I said before, we cannot judge. We were not there.
Humans are involved so there will be good and bad ones. Humans that make mistakes on the job and ones that don't.
I just wonder if this would have ever made made the news without it being a boy scout to increase the "wow" factor. Sensationalism?
How people per day find themselves at gun point by an LEO, for whatever reason, every day in this country? That never hits the news.
