Buying Tires in Mexico
Last year one of the RVer's bought new tires in Costco in Puerto Vallarta and was told that the warranty was honored in the US and Canada. Anybody have experience buying tires in Mexico?

- We purchased Michelin tires twice in Mexico from Michelin dealers. No problems, no issues, the same great tires as in the US, and about the same price.
Now we buy the same tires on eBay and get them REALLY cheap for the same tires, not knock offs. - Can't say for sure, but I would imagine that the Costco buyers would procure quality tires as Costco is very picky about who they do business with.
- I have no experience with Mexico but I have experience with other 2nd and 3rd world countries. As you do not know if the tires are DOT certified I would not purchase anything outside the USA or Canada. They could be knock offs or tires that did not meet the U.S. standards. There is nothing that prohibits sale in other countries. This happens in the Dominican Republic, Haiti Jamaica and the like with lots of product and food stuffs
