It depends where you are coming from. It looks as though you are coming the east side of Atlanta. As others have said you can get off I-85 on US-441 and go south. You are then looking at 2 decisions: 1. Stay on 441 all the way to I-10 or 2. get off 441 in Eatonton and go to Gray to Macon and get on I-16 west for about 1/2 mile and get on I-75 south. Not sure about the road #'s from Eatonton to Gray to Macon, but it is a very good Ga. State highway. If you are coming down on I-75 jump over to US-27 It is mainly a four lane highway all the way. US 27 also gives you 2 choices: 1. stay on US27 all the way to I-10 (Tallahassee) or cut over from Columbus to Albany to Tifton and hit I-75, also a 4 lane highway. Either way 441or 27 are very good routes and completely bypasses Atlanta.
