CA -86 by the Salton Sea
I am planning to leave El Centro NAS on Dec. 1 and head past Palm Springs to Hemet, CA. Just wondering if Rt. 86 is a good route to take.

I've done them both a number of times and usually take 111 but we like to bird and there are some great places to stop. Both are pretty boring
