CA 395 from I-15 to CA 58
Its been a long time since last on this section on CA 395. Is it a good route or should I go to Barstow and pickup CA 58 there?

We drive this route at least once a year. All good road. A bit of traffic thru Adelanto but not bad. At the intersection of 395/58 is the town of Kramer Junction with a few truck stops.
Heading east bound on our return we did encounter heavy traffic as we approached Kramer Junction. Highway was backed up several miles. It was a holiday weekend. All other trips we had little to no traffic both directions.
