CA SR 44 or 36 from I-5 ???
We plan to head over to Susanville, CA from the Redding, CA area. We've never been on either SR 44 or 36 and would appreciate any info you folks could provide as to road conditions etc.

If I were in Redding, 44 would be the way I go. If I were in Red Bluff, I would take 36. Both are fine roads - at this time of year.
