Calif. travel
We will be leaving Morro bay on Aug. 2, 2014. Have a 36" class A motor-home towing a car. Need to get to Eureka, Ca. Don't really want to go thru San Francisco. Any thoughts?

I would take 101 to San Jose and then 880 up to Albany and then 580 across the bay to 101. 880 does go through Oakland, but freeway all the way. You could also bypass Oakland by taking 680... but it's difficult and out of the way considerably getting back to the 101.
