I am at 42' and with the toad I am at 64', just 1' shy of the maximum. I have driven on some of the red routes without any issues, however, if you are not comfortable on windy narrow 2 lanes roads with little to no shoulder you should probably pass. On one of the routes I did see an accident, a rig with a tag axle, probably around 44-45' scraped the side of the mountain. he showed up later at the campground and was a few spots down. He was cited for length. I doubt you would be stopped and measured, but draw attention to yourself and you could be cited. Not sure what the citation cost.
