California Hwy 128
Planning a trip to the coast - Fort Bragg. Took hwy from Willits a few years ago...very windy. Looks to me like the better route is from Cloverdale. Driving a 38' MH with toad. Suggestions please.

We always stay at Pomo rv park just south of Fort Bragg, so hwy 20 is a more direct route for us. The last couple of miles from the Navarro river where 128 meets hwy 1 up to Mendocino is very steep and curvy. Just take it slow and you'll be fine. Where are you staying in Mendocino?
We will be at the Pomo Rv park in a few weeks. I asked a similar question, 20 vs 128, a few weeks ago. Ive driven 20. That has got to be the curviest road in America. I'm planning on taking 128 this time.
