California Hwy 128
Planning a trip to the coast - Fort Bragg. Took hwy from Willits a few years ago...very windy. Looks to me like the better route is from Cloverdale. Driving a 38' MH with toad. Suggestions please.

Yeah, hwy 20 can be a workout. As I posted, we have used both routes and they're pretty equal in terms of curves and slow going. Hwy 128 is real curvy at the beginning off hwy 101 and then smooths out as you travel through the Anderson Valley. It gets pretty winding again when you enter the redwood section along the river and on up the hill towards Mendocino. The hwy 128 route is more scenic, especially through the orchards and wineries near Boonville. We will be at Pomo in early October on our return trip from the Oregon coast. Enjoy!
