California Route 139
Is California Route 139 between Adin and Susanville a decent road for a large motorhome? We usually take 395 but 139 is shorter.

- Have driven many times over 40 year including with our Motorhomes (current big rig Diesel Pusher). NO problem! If you can't drive this road you shouldn't be driving an RV.
rocmoc n AZ - 139 is pretty, but it might not be any faster. If you go to Adin, stop at the general store -- really neat old west stuff, and great sandwiches!
- I never drive 139. 395 for us is the only route.

No fuel between Susanville and Adin. - How large is large? 15 miles of 139 is prohibited for MHs over 40'.
- Is Adin your destination?
The 139 is a steep narrow climb with some pretty good curves starting out.
Once topped out the 139 is still narrow and can be a white knuckler for many.
The 395 a much better road. - Google map street view shows it to be ok, but I'd have a look at those 25mph hairpin curves.
