On I-5 in California where vehicle speed limit is 70 and truck-trailer speed limit is 55, I will notice the truck-trailers going up to about 65 and not getting pulled over. I normally feel comfortable going about 62 to 65. And many of the cars are going 80 and passing the trucks going 65. The dual speed limits seems to work just fine. :B
I agree with you,,I normally run the same 62-65, if I can get with a pack or a few trucks going 65 I'll hang there for a while, 68-70 and my MPG drops off, We are retired so not in a hurry!
Been passed by some really big show trailers,,IE seems to be 1 ton diesel PU's with some really big three axle toy haulers. Seems they gotta get somewhere fast, in the fast lane going 70+. Hopefully we get an opinion from one of them. Baffles me how they don't get stopped more often or at all!!
