- PaoliExplorerWe pulled in and no problem without a reservation.
- MyCK180ExplorerI never make a reservation and have always been able to get a site. There are a number of non reservable sites in each camp ground. The best time for these sites is Sun - Thur. The Ontario Parks reservation system is a joke. Many times I have gone on line where it says everything is booked but when I get there outside of weekends the place is half empty.
- Jebby14ExplorerIf its booked solid online you are fighting for the non reservable scraps. I would find a different Ontario park that can be reserved. There are a ton of nice ones in the area. We camp almost exclusively at Ontario parks never go without a reservation. For busy highly popular parks we book the max allowed (I think 5 months) in advance. Others we book as much as the week before.
- chipsterExplorerBecause its to late to book online for the summer Jebby14
- kilbearcamperExplorerArrive at the campground office before they open at 8am to be first in line for the non-reservable sites that are made available at that time. You may get a site, best to try Canisbay, Lake of Two Rivers or Pog lake C.G. Mew lake will be next to impossible during the summer months.
- Jebby14Explorery not just book online. Ontario parks is friendly for online booking and then there is nothing to worry about
- camp-n-familyExplorerIt's a******shoot, no guarantees. Really depends on time of year, campground, and site size. For the summer months things are usually booked solid for your size requirements. Only chance if there is a lat minute cancellation and you show up at the right time.
