Canadian Border and Propane Tanks ON?
we just heard that going from usa to Canada that you can be fined $1000 if you have your propane tanks ON in your RV. I can't verify this anywhere....can someone help me on this issue?

Reason to close off propane in tunnels and ferries is very simple. Propane is heavier than air and will settle out in the low spots, think bilges and the lowest point of a tunnel. George Black ferry at Dawson is more of a powered barge with the deck closed off from interior spaces. You are usually not allowed to have a propane powered vehicle in an underground parking for the same reason.
