So we stocked up for the 2 weeks we expected to take to get to Canada and ended up not drinking nearly enough. That sounds bad. Anyway, I figured it would be worth paying the duty as opposed to replacement of the hooch. When we got to the border at Waterton National Park, the agent asked if we had alcohol. I gave him a grocery list of; 2 spirits, a case of beer and 7 bottles of wine. He went right on asking about fruit & vegetables, dog records and guns. "Have a nice trip" and away we went. Everything I've read, including all of your excellent advice here at RV.net, says be honest. It worked again at U.S. customs going in to Haines, AK too. Albeit we'd whittled down the larder since crossing into Canada. Anyone thinking of coming up here, don't hesitate. Well worth the drive. It's paying off for us. Good luck to you and yours.
