Seriously, with a national population that is NINETY percent smaller than that of the USA, is it any wonder that prices are higher in Canada ? Add to that the size of our country, and the distances that goods have to travel, and of course costs will be higher.

Thanks I have consumed some of those on the above link. Luksowa is my usual but when in a restaurant Ciroc or Chopin are my choice if they have it.

I found this. I was going to match this to the BC LCB list of vodkas sold, but then I saw that 'Smirnoff' on the list and that is sold everywhere.

Still wanting to return, it's another world up there, so relaxing and beautiful in a sparse, small trees way. A little like the desert we travel to each winter - wide open spaces, and beautiful.

Nice theory, but the place with the highest liquor prices/taxes also has the highest consumption. Yay, Yukon! :)

Each province has their own listings. Which provinces are you passing thru? I expect you can find it, but you may need to do some research.

Make sure Chris that you go to a govt. liquor store if you are buying something 'ordinary'. The private liquor stores that have now become almost specialty shops will really stick it to you if you go in and buy something popular.
