And lot of CG do not open until June.
Many great places to see, what are your interests? In NB there is the tidal bore. The water is reversed into the river during high tide. The river increases up to 25' in depth. Do Not!!! Go near or on the river bed during low tide. The mud is so soft, like quicksand, it is very dangerous. The tide change is a must to see wherever you can. Hopewell rock is another place to see how high the tides are. St Andrews, a cute town. You can whale watching from there.
Nova Scotia, Lots of history Follow the coastline all the way around. Cape Breton Highlands is a must. The people there are some of the most welcoming folk you will ever find. No matter who they are you are made to feel at home. Halifax you must do downtown and the Harbour front. You may see some of our Naval ships docked. There is a casino, market, something for everyone downtown.
We like to stick to the coastal towns and villages. Places like Halls Harbour, you pick your lobster fresh from the boat. It is cooked for you and you eat it right on the pier. Lobster rolls are also must to try. Don't get sucked into thefamous fast food chains lobster roll. It is nothing like the real thing! If you time it right, you can watch the tide come into this small village while eating your lobster. Also try some dulce...it is eaten like chips
Let us know what you like and it will help. Wherever you end up in our eastern provinces, I am sure you will be hard pressed to find anywhere as welcoming.
