For your info, here are the replies I received from Novamar:
First response: Thank you for your e-mail. We do offer short term policies that cover accidents and unforseen medical expenses. This is a travel Insurance policy, we offer IMG’s Patriot Travel plan. I have attached the brochure so you may see all that the policy offers. It can cover you 3 days or up to 6 months. You choose how many days of coverage you want to pay for.
Let me know if you are interested on some quotes. I would only need to know the starting and ending date of coverage you would like.
Second response: Thank you for your e-mail.
Yes, the policy can be sold to Canadians who reside in Canada and travel to Mexico. These policies are designed for worldwide trips. You are covered from the day you leave home as it is a travel Insurance policy. SO you were to take a road trip to Mexico you will be covered on your way here in the US as well.
I was reading the general conditions of the policy. You are covered for terrorism attackas as long as your are not part of it or do not ignore a travel warning of the specific location. If you want to see the general conditions it is specified in page 17 and coverage through the US is specified on page 16. Basically you’re covered for any “urgency” while crossing the US.
Should you have further questions, let me know.
Third response: Thank you for your response. That is correct the policy does cover accidents and unforseen medical expenses including ambulance. (he is refering to areas that warnings exist)
Let me know if you would like to go forward with the travel policy. We’d only need your Passport number and contact information including a home address.
