2 years ago my wife tried to fly home form PV 9the permit was in my name), I had to do a mad drive back to Tachos to get the permits so they could see they were not in her name. The next year they did not ask and she flew home for chemo 4 times.
This is also related to the question of taking a vehicle back into the US without cancelling the 180 day TIP then driving back in, keeping the same toruist card. I have done that twice before without an issue. Lst year I drove all the way back to Vancouver over christmas then reentered. Its probably easier to get away with at Nogales due to the free zone. I am picking up a group in Laredo in Jan, i think I will wait for them on the mexican side.
