So, we are here now, we came with an open mind about renting the car and I told myself, that I would reserve the car, check out the scene, as there has been much discussion about this topic ---- and if it seemed shaky/way over the top expensive and or just got plain ugly at the counter, that we would just decline the car option and take a cab to the Iberostar !!!! What people say is true, they play games as I was quoted and had booked the actual LOCAL INSURANCE PRE-TRIP with the rental car agency (Dollar) in this case, but I'm sure they are ALL the same !!! Once at the counter they tell you that they don't know how or why you were quoted that rate, as they can't give it to you --- Haha -- I did expect this--- and I even had the actual printed email with the quote at a price they said they could not match !!! Hmmmmm !! so I decided to axe the car rental, as it was just not worth paying over $300 for a 5 day car rental
