I rented a car in Guadalajara, Jalisco Mexico a few days ago and paid for it in California with my U.S. credit card via Expedia. It was one dollar a day, plus insurance for collision of about $18.00 dollars a day. Once I got to the rental place, they told me I needed additional insurance, which was mandatory. When I got the bill back in the states, they had charged me $178 dollars for three days. This came to more than $55.00 dollars a day. Don't believe anything you see advertised. It is all a scam.
