Car rental in Mexico - Puerto Valarta

I just came back from a two week trip to MX. The actual rate is that low and as others have stated, the various insurance charges brought it to about $60 daily. It was not worth it to me to risk a question on if the damage or liability is covered by my CC. Remember in MX, if you get in an accident, the Mexican authorities will hold you until Liability Ins can be verified. I would not want to spend one min in a MX police station while this is going on. If you are willing to accept the unknown in the event something happens for a couple hundred bucks that is up to you. For me the peace of mind was worth it. I would also recommend reserving from the RAC company itself. I have found that if you ever have any issues or disputes, the travel sites are next to useless in helping you.
